I wanted to make a Yeti 35 review because we all know how difficult it can be to choose the right one according to our needs. After all, investing in a cooler isn’t just about getting the first thing you see, it’s also about making sure you get your money’s worth. And with the Tundra 35, it doesn’t come cheap, which is why you should do your research.
That’s the reason why I decided to help you out, so read on! I’ll be talking all about the Yeti Tundra 35 and help you make that ultimate purchasing decision.
The Yeti 35 Review
The Yeti 35 is a small and portable cooler which has the ability to accommodate up to 20 cans.
The Yeti 35 is a small and portable cooler which has the ability to accommodate up to 20 cans. Besides this, it can also fit in more than enough food for a small group of people without it being too heavy to bring around. It comes with various features which enables it to withstand pressure and preserve your items inside.
The Yeti 35 can hold both cans and ice, having a 28-quart capacity, opposing the claimed 35-quart capacity. However, it compensates by having the long measurements to fit in long-neck bottles and other types of meats. The cooler’s exact measurement is 16Wx21Lx15T inches, again, more than enough for a small family or group of friends.
Important Features to Look Into
The cooler came with the roto-molded polyethylene construction, which is a good feat when comparing it to the Yeti 35 vs 45.
Before I bought it, I looked into a different Yeti 35 cooler review, as well as some other testimonials. Needless to say, I was impressed, with the cooler being rated four stars or above since it was released. When I tested it out, I realized the reasons why: It came from the different features!
The cooler came with the roto-molded polyethylene construction, which is a good feat when comparing it to the Yeti 35 vs 45. They both have the strength and similar construction which makes the Yeti durable for any setting. It has similar materials and construction as whitewater kayaks, which is what adds to its durability and long-lasting lifespan.
Besides this, it also has thick walls with PermaFrost insulation, which ensures that the temperature of the Yeti 35 won’t adjust and increase from the outdoor environment. When looking inside, you can see that the cooler can withstand the very low temperatures. It’s also compatible when placing dry ice inside, which is actually preferred since it can give thrice the cooling power compared to the standard ice.
One of the highlights of my Yeti Tundra 35 review is its lid. It doesn’t only shut, but it completely seals off whatever is inside, protecting it from the outside temperature. It has the freezer-quality gasket to prevent any air from moving around the cooler, ensuring that the temperature inside stays the same.
Besides this, it also has the rubber T-latches that are extremely durable and would sit on the cooler’s molded latch keepers. This ensures that the lid will always be sealed tightly. As for its body, it’s made of rust-proof aluminum rod, which secures both the body and lid tightly. It even has hinge stops to prevent the hinges and the lid from breaking, preserving the cooler’s lifespan.
Grizzly Bear Resistant
I know many people are scared of their coolers being attacked or stolen by bears, especially when camping. Not only that, but the many small creatures out there can come over and try to open or damage the cooler.
As per my Yeti 35 review, it has no problem in protecting the contents. This is a bear-resistant cooler, withstanding the strength and attacks of grizzly bears. It was actually certified by the Inter-Agency Grizzly Bear Committee because of it. The only con is that the padlocks that are hailed for its security are sold separately.
Easy to Carry
The handles are made from marine-grade nylon rope
Another thing I look after with a cooler is its ease of carrying, and fortunately, the Yeti 35 passes this test. It has the ergonomic handles located on both ends so the user can carry it comfortably, lifting it without tilting and spilling contents.
The handles are made from marine-grade nylon rope, so you’re assured that it won’t break. The ropes are best used for two people, while the integrated recessed handles are comfortable for one person to use. It’s also lightweight enough for one person to carry, depending on the contents’ weights.
Any Extra Features?
Besides these main and necessary features, the Yeti 35 also has a lot of awesome extras. The package includes a dry food rack, which separates the food items from the ice. Because of this, your sandwiches or other food won’t become soggy from the ice.
Also, it has the non-marking rubber feet located at the cooler’s bottom, holding it in place wherever you put it on. That way, it stays in position when on a boat, on slippery surfaces, or wherever you are when camping or going on a picnic.
While Yeti 35 is an excellent buy, it doesn’t come without any minor issues. For this particular cooler, the price is its downfall, as some may find it too high. When you compare it with other brands, the Yeti comes at a more expensive price.
With that being said, you actually get your money’s worth with the Yeti, from its excellent features down to the fact it can last for years. Known as the premium brand of coolers, you can see why it’s priced as such.
Wrapping It Up
One of the most important things you need when going outdoors is a quality cooler. After all, how will you be alb to store ice, frozen foods, and other beverages and items safely? With the right cooler like the Yeti 35, you’ll be able to take advantage of storage and keeping your food items frozen for the entire trip!
I hope that this Yeti 35 review helped you out. So don’t wait any longer! If this is the one for you, get one for yourself and the family now.
