The Corona cooler has been string a lot of talk in the camping community lately, which had me wonder: Is this cooler really worth the price and why? With the many reviews that claim it’s one of the strongest at an excellent value, I wanted to test it out myself.

So upon doing all the research and tests, I wanted to show you guys just what I thought of the Corona cooler. Read on to find out more about what this cooler has to offer and if it really is worth the long-term investment for its strength and durability.

My Own Corona Cooler Review

it’s known to store ice for up to three days, a nice enough duration that’s longer than the standard or generic coolers out there.

Because there were so many coolers made from Corona, I decided to do a Corona Stainless Steel Cooler review. This is actually one of the more popular varieties of Corona coolers because of the material it’s made out of. Stainless steel is one of the strongest types of cooler material, which offers a combination of both strength and insulation.

Let’s see if the stainless steel construction really is effective on these Corona coolers!

With this particular one, it’s a Corona Beer Ice Chest which is both sturdy and rugged. Besides this, it sure is attractive and has the cool look to it that makes it a nice addition to any beach or camping trip. Many will appreciate the two-color Corona logo, which is screen-printed on the cooler’s front. That’s definitely made for beer lovers, even coming with an opener for better accessibility when getting a cold one.

As for the cooler’s insulation, it’s known to store ice for up to three days, a nice enough duration that’s longer than the standard or generic coolers out there. It’s great for long trips without it losing its temperature, or at least, keeping your ice and beer cold enough for the long haul.

Another great thing about it is the fact that it has a huge capacity of 54 quarts. It measures about 24x17x16 inches, which can hold up to 85 cans of soda and beer. Because of this, it’s an amazing addition to fishing trips, hunts, camps, even backyard parties with large groups of people.

Advantages of the Corona Cooler

One of the things the Corona beer cooler is well known for is its drainage port. It’s convenient and rust-resistant, making it easy to drain since all you need to do is to tilt it. Once tilted, all the excess water comes out and flows out of the base smoothly.

Besides its drainage feature, it’s also very easy to clean and maintain. This is something I look into with coolers, as I don’t want to hassle myself in cleaning and wiping it down. All you need to do is to wipe it down and you’re done, there’s no worry about the stainless steel shell streaking or making any stains.

Another thing to like is its attractive design. Like mentioned, it has the cool Corona logo which can get the party started and have people know the drinks are ready. It also has that touch of class, as the Corona ice chest becomes the conversation piece compared to using the generic Styrofoam box with no personality.

this Corona cooler, as well as all of the other varieties that come from Corona, are made by Coleman.

As for its construction, this Corona cooler, as well as all of the other varieties that come from Corona, are made by Coleman. This is a highly reputable brand for all coolers and equipment meant for the outdoors.

So expect this Corona cooler to have the sturdiness and adequate insulation for most outdoor settings. It keeps in a ton of beer and stays cold for a good amount of time, even during the hottest days. This makes the cooler perfect for summer days when out with friends or by the backyard.

Disadvantages of the Corona Cooler

While the Corona cooler does come with a host of excellent features and benefits, it isn’t perfect. It falls short in some areas, particularly in its weight and how you carry it.

The major downside to the cooler is its heaviness, as the cooler alone is heavy enough, what more when fitting up to 85 cans of beer and/or ice? It will require two strong people to lift the cooler and transport it when filled, and getting it to the car or RV will be a huge challenge from the weight.

Another con is the Corona ice chest price, which is more expensive compared to other types of coolers with similar features.

Besides that, the side-handles constructed are a bit too narrow for some, which makes it feel too tight for those with larger hands. As for its grip, there are some complaints of it being a bit too uncomfortable, digging into the hands and causing some pain when carried for too long, or if the weight is too heavy.

Another con is the Corona ice chest price, which is more expensive compared to other types of coolers with similar features. There are some other alternatives you may want to consider, though, for its branding and design, you can see why it’s priced a bit more expensive than others.

Also, while I do appreciate its construction and design, which comes with a bottle opener built in, I wish it also had a cup in it to collect bottle caps. Other than that, I have no complaints and see it moderately-priced with its features included. If you have the extra budget, you’ll like the Corona cooler.

Wrapping It Up

The Corona Cooler is definitely well known for being the all-around beer or ice cooler made for beaches and hot weather. But when you think about it, there may be better options out there at a lower price. Though I do appreciate some of its features, I would only recommend this if you’re focusing more on bringing beverages or ice around.
